sfina is supremely mediocre in all that she does - she has skills but they're not much better than the average person in those skills - or they're below avg

• she is by far the least skilled fighter in ERiS's fighter line (sfina arcael lucis)
• passionate about learning, but burning out
• gives up when failing for the first time

arcael is very very talented in most things due to his patience and precision

• but what he's most passionate about is unrecognized completely
• not afraid to show off other skills but writing is very personal to him - scared of critique because he thinks it reflects on him as a person

lucis is very talented in one thing - gun usage pew pew blam blam

• usually never misses.. heh.. usually
• extremely insecure when failing because his childhood was taken in exchange for him being really really good with a gun
• so if he's bad who even is he like he has nothing else
  • his other skills (cooking, drawing) have much less meaning to him and he doesn't think his skills in those are as good so they don't really count (to him like shooting stuff well is his IDENTITY and these things are just things he does)
  • he genuinely enjoys them though
• will actively try to improve his skills in other fields but he can feel the skill gap between those skills and his gunmanship

syriense passively engages in his interests - does not particularly mind being average unlike sfina

• made peace with being a nothingburger nobody who does nothing
• someone has to be average.. right...
• it's too hard learning and trying, so he uses his guilt like a crutch to not do anything

albrose also doesn't have many particular skills - she leans HEAVILY on her powers

• she's still good at some things, but does a lot of them (e.g. combat) in order to be useful to others
• always trying to learn more helpful things and dabbles in a lot of things
• doesn't really care about all that though

• jealous of arcael and lucis - good at the things they do
• will try out new things with arcael - he always does fairly well while she does suboptimal and it ticks her off a little
  • like opposites: arcael is skilled but not passionate, sfina is passionate but not skilled
• she doesn't know about arcael's writing yet
• when lucis has bouts of insecurity she believes that his other skills should be counted in his self-worth because he's actually quite good at them - he disagrees

arcael

• admires sfina and lucis's passion and initiative
• will hop from thing to thing with sfina because he doesn't care about them much - he low diffs her in everything
• super jealous of lucis's drive (ambition)

lucis

• thinks sfina and arcael are both extremely well-rounded (sfina disagrees)
• respects that they're invested in their individual interests as well, but subconsciously looks down on them a little because he's like ALL IN on his gun thing, while sfina gets burnt out from failure and takes breaks from her interests to try other things - lucis also does not know about arcael's passion for writing (arcael is also highly invested in writing but hides it well)

• admires them all for trying bc he has zero motivation to do anything anymore
