- around the time he was born/a little after, his parents quickly found out that they were very incompatible
	- argued a lot throughout his childhood, would tell him conflicting things about his life and what kind of person he should be
	- still love him, but also lowkey use him as a tool against each other (you didn't do this for him!! if you do this you'll end up like her!! etc.)
	- arcael really wanted them to stop arguing and stay together when he was a kid, but in his more jaded teenage years, thought they should've just divorced a long time ago
- tried his very very best to make both parents proud, so they could at least have "the perfect son"
	- would often stretch himself thin
- ran away from home in preteen era, stumbled into a hypodermal casino masquerading as a epidermal pub
	- the fae workers there thought he was super adorable and took him in
	- though he did return home the next day, he'd spend evenings going to the casino to do homework and learn more about the Hypodermis - would tell parents he was going volunteer work or whatever
	- staff taught him a LOT - fighting, how to tell untruths without lying, etc.

- his dream from childhood was to be a screenplay or book writer, but due to it being an unpopular field, ended up studying law instead 
- was pretty popular in school for being smart and kind etcetc
- kept writing thing a secret for his entire life, has a lot of writing work squirreled away in his computer n usbs n journals

- he was interviewing for an HQ position, but after dangerous incident at HQ happened and he totally saved the day n wtv they threw him into field duty (they are soooo low on field agents) 
- fae workers protested because of occupational dangers but he thought being an agent was ok - fairly good salary + pretty cool job
