ambition

arcael has ALWAYS wanted to be a film/book writer. he has the desire, but he Just Can't bring himself to do it

• doesn't have confidence
• even his current job was like.. not ENTIRELY his choice - the fae told him it'd be good for him, and to kind of spite his upbringing, he did it (but it still doesn't diverge too heavily from the "ideal" life he pursues, and it is still not his choice)
• his ambition clashes with the external forces actively going against it, and in the end he decides to tamp it down to attempt to live a more mainstream life

lucis has a fiery ambition - he always pushes himself to be the best.

• sets BIG goals for himself - reach for the stars, land on the moon, right?
• overexerts himself heavily in order to reach his ambitions

syriense used to have big dreams, but he has since lost all interest. he has contented himself with being average and mediocre in every respect - what dying embers of ambition he has left are smothered by his overwhelming self-loathing and guilt.

• perhaps reignited one day..?
• but for now, he's thrown it all to the wind

sfina doesn't have big aspirations she just wants to be good at something and happy with her friends

• when she sets goals for herself, she inevitably fails and becomes extremely discouraged
  • she USED to have pretty big goals, but never was quite able to reach them
  • "settling for a more mediocre life" - not because she wants one, but because she can't go for more

albrose has no big overarching goal - no One Purpose she'd like to achieve

• despite knowing immediate future in a sense (like knowing what's about to happen next in some situations) and being super focused on acting correctly according to each scenario to carry out a "perfect future", albrose doesn't really know what HER future will be
• kind of just living life as it goes, dealing with things as they happen - has like NO long term plan
