selfish and crass, typical high school delinquent except they're in college with a 1.5 gpa.
skips class and smokes and trespasses and spends all their time terrorizing children on roblox or something

despite being just an online friend lila is one of their best friends, if not THE best friend - they text every day, playing together often and video calling late into the night they met each other in a game and have been close since they're developing a video game together where they both code and write but lila is lowk better than woika at both - they have other friends who do music and some graphic stuff but they're the main devs

however, lila dropped off the face of the earth one day and hasn't responded to any messages, despite them planning to meet up later that year. bc they were plannin to meet woika knows where lila generally lives

also they have prosopagnosia so they lowk forgot what lilas face looks like oops!!

woika's mom died, their dad remarried
not on great terms with stepmother + stepsiblings because they're not a nice person and they just stay in their room all day
timeline:
4 years old: mom dies
7-8 years old: dad remarries, one stepsibling 5 years younger
10 years old: other stepsibling born, meets lila online
17: drops out of hs
18: plans to meet lila start, woika gets ged or something w lila's encouragement
19: lila goes silent, woika starts trying to find them

• woika's parents lowk just want them out of the house - they think woika's going to college or something
• yay!! independence...!
  1-2 months later: woika finds lila's apt + usb
• during this time took a lot of odd part-time jobs and went on hella sidequests, probably actually met syriense n albrose at some point briefly
• also met AIA, took woika under wing very briefly and makes sure they dont die when traipsing cross the country
  19-20: woika tries to find out cult stuff - gets picked up by symposium at 20 to share cult information (was going to get amnesticized but convinced them to hire them,, somehow,, - woika can access tenwatcher stuff so that's useful + terminally online)
  present: around 22 years old, been in symposium for 1.5-2 years

AIA facilitated the first meetup b/w arae and ERiS bc they knew woika - sort of a parent/child relationship ,, sort of

lila
dry humour (which woika picked up on and uses now)
not above flouting rules for fun, but not to the extent that woika does
the definition of haunting the narrative
pretty nice, definitely nicer than woika, but still a bit immature at times (Will make thats what she said jokes to the horror of everyone but woika)

lila is in a cult. their beliefs are centered mainly around the "story of one's life" as written by a deific Author - each person is a character with a buildup, climax, and resolution. 
when they reach the "resolution" the "story of their life" will end. 

there are Editors in the cult that claim to be able to see individual "plot arcs" and will see symbolism/foreshadowing in minor events in members' lives. one's climax would be like a very transformational/super rough phase in their lives 
members may also reach resolution if it is told in Manuscripts seen by Editors (think elio hsr) to basically make the lives of characters around them more interesting 

lila left an note behind for woika - at some point when woika gets to their apartment theyll find a usb that will install an ai chatbot type program of lila but more like,, a little desktop helper that runs around woikas computer and it learns as it goes. 
it was supposed to be a helper for the game bc lila thought woika would be sad working on it alone, so now even without lila they can finish the game!! wahoo!! but woika boots it up just to chat a lot like listening to a persons voicemail jst to hear their voice 
the only voicelines the bot has like REAL voicelines that arent chopped up autogenerated words siri style are various greetings and goodbyes when woika boots up and closes the program and also "i love you too, woika!" if woika tells the program they love them
